"Barton Springs Pool. Since the pool is part of the City's Park System, it opens ever day at 5:00 a.m. Admission is free until 9:00 a.m. Many swimmers coming in the morning when the pool is less crowded."

 Yes - the western end of the pool where the diving platform is, reaches a depth of 17 feet.
